Hey.
I believe that there are so many of you out there who deserve to be read, and heard. So, I am starting a project, wherein I will post compositions made by you on my blog throughout March (and to spice it up a bit, giveaway a book to the author of my favorite post). I’ll choose fifteen of the submissions to post in the month of March. The compositions can be poetry, short stories, or anything you’re mind is dealing with. Love, chaos, society, peace, war, pets, or any other topic you can come up with, go ahead and send it to me. It shouldn’t have been posted anywhere else. (This is for me to be able to provide my readers with new content by new authors.)
DM it on : Instagram, Facebook
Mail : utsavraj3@gmail.com
Or just drop it in the comments. Please do participate, it would turn out to be an amazing month if you do. The giveaway book will be one of my favorites, or yours. We’ll talk it out when you send me your compositions.
For now though, enjoy this post!
“Draw a monster. Why is it a monster?” – Janice Lee
Monsters aren’t people,
They aren’t under your bed.
There’s only one.
The one inside your head.
The one that promises every night
That nothing will be okay,
That life isn’t fair;
That you’re miserable.
The one you believe.
But “every monster
has a sob story.”
You have to listen to,
and talk to,
and love
The monster inside of you.
Because no one else ever did.
You make monsters
and you can heal them.
This is not a war,
This is the first step
you have to take
To love yourself.
Just be careful.

ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE
loveit!
can we send poems that are published on our blogs?
LikeLiked by 2 people
It would be best if the poem isn’t published already, but if you like one of your posts, you can either tag that along or I’ll have a look. 🙂

Hmm… I was thinking about joining in but then read in the comments that you prefer it to be something not already published. I am wondering how that works for getting our blogs or websites ‘read’? Wouldn’t the article we share have to be posted on our sites in order to link back to us or were you going to post something new we wrote then also include a link to our sites? Just wondering

The project isn’t to get more traffic to your blogs or websites. It’s to get you heard, which would mean you type up an article and send it to me and I’ll publish it. If you want though, I can provide a link to your site, but only as much as that.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I misunderstood your posting and read it wrong when you said that so many of us deserve to be ‘read’. This is why I am asking the question so that I understand correctly. I truly appreciate those who go out of their way to help others. You are doing just that. Kudos to you my friend.

The poem was somehow reminded me of myself, I recently become interested in poem since I joined WordPress.
About Participation, It sounds intriguing but I don’t feel ready yet. It was really fun to write what’s on my mind but the problem of my writing is, I made thousands mistakes and sometimes I have a trouble with grammar.
Anyway the poem was stunning. from my point of view is the monster within yourself is a negative feeling about yourself. I guess that’s all I can understand about the poem.

I wouldn’t mind a few errors here and there. Its the concept, the thought that counts. I’ll make sure there remain no errors if I post it, but please do try! It would really be amazing to read something you’ve written.

The monster indeed is within and needs to be done away with. Beautiful poem. You mentioned dropping the poem in your comments. So here it is – the link to one of my most recent ones https://wordpress.com/view/sikiladi.com
